Axios, dear brother. Pray for us as I pray for you. Both of our potential priests have fallen through, but the lay leadership has decided that "bad breath is better than no breath at all" is a bad way to build a mission. If we need to wait another year, we will.
Thank you, both. Steve, y'all are surely in our prayers, as an instance of an American parish holding on and cohering without their own priest is so rare--and admirable!--given that many folks feel something of a sense of entitlement to a priest who will "be the Church" -- "If he's not there, why go?" in other words. That y'all have hung in there is a beautiful thing.
